How do I start making tee shirts?

I want to start making personal tee shirts. I don’t want to just use photoshopping and iron ons. Since that is just pretentious and doesn’t really show any creativity or skill in producing the shirt. Beside I did that in high school. I want to get into spray painting. Are there any good tips for how a beginner(me) should start?

You could try heat transfer paper with your ink jet printer. Just print, cut and iron on. I did it with a few ron paul and end the fed black text shirts, havent tried color yet though. A bit tricky at first.
