How do I keep the collar of polo shirts from wearing out in the laundry?

try cold water and use woolite. the kind that keeps your colors longer. It’s a little pricey, but only use it for those shirts.
the collar wears out because it rubs against his whiskers, not because of the washing…
my son has like 40 of these shirts……….wash in cold water only and hang dry!!
