How do I get old T-shirts white? They are from sports events-cross country etc. I want to make a quilt out of?

soak the clothes in lemon juice before washing them
soak them in dishwasher detergent an hot water b4 washing if that dont work try oxyclean an hotwater b4 washing
Oxyclean in wash. Make sure you stabilize the tshirts before sewing them together. Pellon makes a very soft stabilizer that works well on tshirt quilts.
